John Richardson is a tenor from Huntington Beach, California. He is currently pursuing a Masters of Music in voice at Yale University, through the Institute of Sacred Music. While at Yale, John has had the chance to sing as a soloist in Haydn’s Creation, Bach’s Jesu Meine Freude, Monteverdi’s Vespers, and Handel’s Messiah, among other works. Prior to coming to Yale, John lived in the UK where he sang for the Choir of the Queen’s College, Oxford and later for the Choir of Clare College, Cambridge. During his time at Clare, John enjoyed several high-profile opportunities, including singing as a soloist on BBC Radio 3, at Symphonia Smith Square, and on tours of the Netherlands, Belgium, and the USA. He also sang in several of the UK’s major churches, including Westminster Abbey and Peterborough Cathedral.
